Available Credit Alerts

Credit Limit Alerts are notifications sent to notify you when the available balance on your credit card account falls below a certain threshold ($100 by default). These alerts can help you avoid unexpected fees or interest charges which may occur if you go over your credit limit.

Only users of CardWise Online or CardWise Mobile will have the option to modify their alert preferences.

Modify Threshold of Available Credit Limit Alerts

  1. Log in to CardWise Mobile or CardWise Online at www.cardwiseonline.ca.
  2. Select Controls & Alerts from the Manage Card menu.
  3. Click the Alerts Tab.
  4. Under Additional Alerts select Enable Available Credit Alerts.
  5. Update the amount you’d like for your Available Credit Alert and Select Save (mobile) or Apply (online).
  6. If you no longer wish to receive Available Credit Limit Alerts, you can toggle it off.

If you are not a CardWise user, you may contact Cardholder Services at 1.833.838.9561 to request to be opted-out of these alerts.

Modify Delivery Method of Credit Limit Alert

Only CardWise users will be able to select the channels (SMS or Email) in which they’d like to receive these alerts from. Push notifications can be managed through your personal device settings.

If a cardholder would like to change how they receive notifications, it can be done in the Settings menu of CardWise.

  1. From the Settings menu, select Personal Information.
  2. Toggle on/off the notification method you would like to change. Click Save (mobile) or Apply (online).
